As a photographer I strive to create interesting images using light and objects. I would normally be using a high-end DSLR camera, but this invloves lugging my camera kit around which sometimes it just isn’t possible. With the new wave of smartphones with built-in cameras, I find I’m taken images of subjects I wouldn’t regularly capture. I have an Apple iPhone and although the camera isn’t the greatest on the market, it does lend itself to be one of most useful features on it.
Along with the basic Camera app on the iPhone, I use the CameraBag and the Photoshop Mobile app. These allow me the alter my snaps with vignettes and borders etc to embellish the images before sending it to Flickr via the Shozu app. Once on Flickr, a WordPress plugin creates an image feed onto my blog. It all sounds very complicated, but once setup, all I’m doing is snap and send. Roll over some of the images below.
Every time I take an iPhone photo and upload it, it will appear on this page. Flickr automatically puts all uploads with the tag ‘Shozu‘ into a folder called Mobile images. And, this is the slideshow from that folder. Simple.
