This weekend, I went for a walk around the Dunstable Downs and Ivinghoe. After a 2 hour wander I sat and watched the sunrays behind the clouds. This museum has had a facelift since the last time I visited, some 20 years ago. The building is truly beautiful, with it’s stately facade and massive towering columns. The interior courtyard has been internalised with gigantic glass roof. A wonderful space to sit and people watch. The light is really worth seeing. And, this is just the building. The treasures held inside the British Museum are from every corner of the world, every continent and country we’ve invaded, taken over or destroyed. And, by the sheer amount of wonderful objects in the museum, we’ve done alot of all of the above. |
