It rained pretty much all day, today. I was determined to shoot some pics, so when the rain wasn’t so heavy I took my chance. I went outside and captured some rain covered flowers and other garden items. My garden is a good source of interesting objects, so I shot abstracts, lines and different patterns. Click the link Shots from the garden to view the set from today. I found shooting in the rain very calming. The cloudy lighting softened the colour and no harsh shadows casted across your subjects. As you’re getting wet you’re thinking quickly to make the shot. And, water droplets ‘en masse’ look great with sharp reflections.
In the past, I wouldn’t have bothered going out in such weather – but I found it very enjoyable.
