On Tuesday, we all visited the Transport Museum in London. Situated in Covent Garden and a short walk from Leicester Square. I haven’t walked through Covent Garden in about 10 years, I dont think it’s changed much, but then I can’t remember what it was like anyway.
As you can imagine the museum with full of trains, buses and trams. Not to mention, pictures of boats, horse-drawn omnibuses and other strange vehicles used in the last few centuries of London.
Although the museum is very good, I didn’t find the lighting very agreeable for shooting the vehicles. It was dark and lamp-light in some areas and fluorescent in others. The main area was fabulously lit by the windows high up near the roof. I probably took less photos here than I would have in my garden on rainy day. 36 images in total.
It was great to see James’s eyes light up at every turn though. The trains are James’s thing but he took a shine to this modern bus and sat in the driver’s seat.
